EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Fox anchor Jackie DeAngelis has sued Whole Foods after a pit bull attack at a Manhattan store left her with permanent hand injuries requiring surgery.
DeAngelis, 46, claims Whole Foods failed to enforce its own restrictions on animals and allowed a dog she says was not a legitimate service animal to remain inside the store.
According to the lawsuit, DeAngelis was shopping at the Whole Foods location at 10 Columbus Circle in September 2023 when a black pit bull bit her on the hand.
She says the injuries were serious enough to require surgery and have left her with significant scarring, reduced mobility and difficulty performing tasks she could complete before the attack.
